Using positive affirmations is a great way to state the subconscious mind to believe in your limitless potential. It is a great psychological trick, that not just positively reprograms the mind, but also counteracts the negative chatter that often infiltrates our thoughts.

When you’re practicing positive affirmations, you’re consciously using some words that will either help remove something from your life or help to create something new in your life. As you say the words of affirmations, you hold the vision of your self-transformation. You make declarations to the universe of your intentions so that it gets true. By using positive affirmations, we can control the subconscious mind to overcome the physical and mental hindrances which were previously thought too great to overcome. Practicing positive affirmations involves repeating some statements over and over. When we repeat these statements, our brain creates some new neural pathways and strengthens them. There are several methods for using positive affirmations which may include writing them-down method, saying them-aloud method, saying-them-in-your-head method, saying-them-into-a-recorder-then-listening-to-them method, and having-someone-repeating-the-affirmations method.

Writing affirmations is a vividly used method. Many people like this method because it can be done quietly and comfortably. It is important that you feel peaceful when you write affirmations. Writing 3 to 10 affirmations daily should be enough per sitting. You can also type the affirmations as a digital document on your computer.

Saying the affirmations out loud is the tried and tested method, which is the most popular affirmation practice method. Speaking the affirmations out loud works better if you practice it in front of a mirror and make eye contact with yourself while repeating the statements.

It is important to say the words of affirmations with conviction. Try to speak slowly, so that the mind can comprehend the message. Speak in a calmer voice, don’t rush and don’t practice with distaste. Speak to yourself like you are speaking to a good friend of yours. Be loving, kind and nurturing.

If you feel uncomfortable repeating the statements out loud, you can say them in your head. The main advantage of this method is that you can use it whenever you want to and wherever you are.

Recording the statements is another method. Record the affirmations, and listen to your recorded voice repeating the statements. It maximizes and accelerates your results while you fall asleep by listening to it.

You can also get a friend or coach to repeat the affirmations to you. They will be saying, for example, “ You (not “I am”) are sound in mind, body, and spirit”.

Repeating The Positive Statements, the positive affirmations can be relaxing and soothing as you lift the baggage of limiting beliefs and release them back from where they came.
