The Concept Behind the Laws of Attraction

The law of attraction is based on the concept that similar energy attracts similar energy in the vast expanse of space and time that is our universe. Each individual’s being is constantly radiating energy into space; the sort of energy radiated is influenced by the individual’s emotional state and may vary from day to day—and perhaps even hour to hour!

This emotional energy is referred regarded as a “vibe” by scientists researching the law of attraction. You are probably familiar with the word. Have you ever been around someone who appears to radiate a “glow that encourages happiness in everyone around them?” By the same token, have you ever spent time with someone who was so critical and unhappy that they constantly emitted a “bad vibe” that seemed to sap the life and happiness of everyone around them?

You do not need psychic abilities to sense the vibes that people give out; this energy is quite real on a psychological level and may touch anyone, anywhere, at any time. Our vibrations are typically an unconscious response to some type of environmental stimulus; something has occurred that has caused us to feel happy, sad, scared, confused, or stressed, for example, and our subconscious response to this (because vibes are generated and projected from the subconscious rather than the conscious) is something we cannot control.

The individual producing a negative aura is unlikely to desire to be miserable, nor do they wish to impose their sadness on everyone around them simply by being present. (Before you say what you’re thinking, yes, this rule does have certain exceptions. Misery does enjoy company, and many people take great pleasure in inflicting their suffering on others. It is critical to recognize that this is typically done because of a wish to avoid causing others suffering, but rather to avoid feeling so isolated in their unhappiness. However, we digress…)

There are a variety of emotions that result in the emission of positive and negative vibes, and it is critical that you grasp each of these before we proceed with any discussion of the law of attraction (you’ll understand why later).

Positive vibes are generated from good feelings, such as:

  • Joy
  • Love
  • Excitement
  • Abundance (of anything that causes a positive response)
  • Pride
  • Comfort
  • Confidence
  • Affection

Negative vibes are generated from negative feelings, such as:

  • Disappointment
  • Loneliness
  • Lack (of any of life’s necessities or luxuries)
  • Sadness
  • Confusion
  • Stress
  • Anger
  • Hurt
